Speakers:

JUDITH BUTLER, Distinguished Professor in the Graduate School and formerly the Maxine Elliot Chair in the Department of Comparative Literature and the Program of Critical Theory at the University of California, Berkeley. Her forthcoming book, Who’s Afraid of Gender? , will be published by Farrah Strauss Giroux in early 2024.

MASHA GESSEN, Distinguished Professor at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, a Distinguished Visiting Writer at Bard College, and the author of twelve books, including The Rights of Lesbians and Gay Men in the Russian Republic and the National Book Award-winning The Future Is History: How Totalitarianism Reclaimed Russia and Surviving Autocracy

The talk will be introduced by former New College Student Senate President and current Hampshire College third-year student LIBBY HARRITY.
